The WI has three layers and you choose how involved you want to be.
Our monthly meetings mainly consist of listening to invited speakers or demonstration on a very large range of subjects followed by tea, biscuits and a chat. Or we may try our hand water colour painting, painting pottery, making cards etc, As a group we like our food and drink so we have an Autumn meeting in a restaurant and in the summer we go out to a stately home or something similar followed by a meal. This year we went out for a skittles evening and more food and drink. Twice a year we have group meetings. We take it in turn to host an evening and invite surrounding WI’s. This give us a chance to meet new people and to splash out on more expensive entertainment.
