Neighbourhood Watch is the largest community safety organisation in the country and works by developing close liaisons between households in a neighbourhood and the local police.

The aims of Neighbourhood Watch are:

There are over 8,700 neighbourhood watch schemes across the Thames Valley. Each scheme has a co-ordinator, who is in contact with their regional administrator. They act as a link between the community, the police and other agencies. Schemes can include two or three neighbours in a village or entire housing estates in large towns. The whole of Wendlebury is a neighbourhood watch area.

Current Alert - 17th February 2010

Please alert neighbours. Two distractions burglaries have taken place involving bogus police officers. One occurred in Bicester at 5.15pm yesterday in Ray Road, Kings End and another in The Fairway, Bretch Hill, Banbury at 8pm last night. In both incidents males claimed to be Police Officers and gained entry into houses.
DESCRIPTION: Three males have been described as white, 20yrs, one was tall, slim, fair hair, wearing dark clothing, another described as 5' 8", short black hair, blue jeans and average build.
VEHICLE: A black car possible a ford focus was also seen at both incidents. If you see anything suspicious or have any information please telephone the police on 08458 505 505 or 999 for immediate police attention.
