University of the Third Age
Bicester U3A meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Wendlebury Village Hall. The meeting starts at 2:15 pm and ends at 4 pm. Usually a speaker gives a talk on a topic of general interest and this is followed by tea and biscuits to allow members to chat together.
The Bicester Group recruits from the town and surrounding villages and even has one member from Oxford. Visitors are always welcome and they are charged £1 to cover the costs of hire of the hall and speaker as well as the tea and biscuits. For 2007 our annual fees are £8 for the year.
The Bicester Group is run by a Committee comprising seven members, the position of Chairperson being rotated at intervals of three years while others are for as long as the incumbent is happy to continue.
