Wendlebury Traditional Village Fete Join the Wendlebury mailing List

Our thanks and welcome to Tim who is an old Wendlebury boy
Tim Bearder was born in S. Africa in 1976 and came to Wendlebury in 1979 with his parents Catherine and Simon and brother Ian. The family lived
in Church Lane until 2000.
Tim studied joined up writing at St. Edburgs School, Bicester, where he starred in numerous activity plays. At the annual village fete he frequently came second to his life long arch rival Paul Millet. Tim was a leading light in the Church Choir (lead by Héléne la Rue) and specialised in “Away in a Manger” for the Christmas carol singing which usually finished with mince pies at Alice Harvey’s house.
Tim enjoyed his first pint at the Red Lion and went on to work behind the bar where he got to know all the village idiosyncrasies!
He now works for BBC Oxford where he has his own radio show on Saturday evening “BBC Oxford Introducing” when he introduces new local bands.
